- 3/4 cup Butter
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Cups Coconut Flakes Sweetened
- 1 1/2 Cups Oatmeal
- 3/4 Cup Grape Jelly, or
- 3/4 Cup Strawberry Jam
1 Preheat oven to 375°.
2 In bowl mix butter, sugar, and brown sugar until texture is consistent.
3 Add Flour, oatmeal and 1 Cup coconut flakes. Mix together thoroughly. Set aside 1 Cup of the mixture.
4 Spread the rest of the dough evenly in a 9 inch by 13 inch pan. Spread the preserves evenly over the first layer.
5 Crumble the remaining dough over preserves. Sprinkle remaining coconut on top.
6 Bake for 25 min.
7 Allow bars to cool completely before serving.
